Recently, the JCSORT four-channel optical weight sorting line for tomatoes, designed and manufactured by our factory for a client, has successfully completed all integration testing and pre-commissioning within the factory and is ready for delivery. This production line integrates advanced technologies such as automatic crate loading, intelligent visual sorting, and multi-channel high-precision weighing. Based on the philosophy of prioritizing farmers' needs, the company continuously absorbs advanced ideas and experiences from both domestic and international sources, and is always committed to promoting the continuous development of the fruit and vegetable sorting industry towards greater efficiency and intelligence.

The first part is the automatic crate emptying function in the JCSORT automated tomato sorting line.

The feeding section utilizes an automatic crate-tilting system.  Simply placing each crate of tomatoes onto the conveyor belt initiates the automatic tilting process, after which the tomatoes are transferred to the sorting area. Simultaneously, the empty crates are conveyed to a designated area via the conveyor belt. The entire feeding process maintains a smooth and controlled tilting motion, significantly improving efficiency and safety, and ensuring a continuous supply of materials for subsequent processes.

The second part of this JCSORT tomato sorting line is AI intelligent sorting. Equipped with high-resolution industrial-grade cameras and multi-spectral light sources, combined with deep learning algorithms, it can identify surface defects, deformities, and uneven coloration of tomatoes in real time.  The 360° rotating tray ensures comprehensive and thorough inspection during tomato sorting, achieving precise pre-sorting.

This third section of the JCSORT tomato sorting grading system is a four-channel weight sorting system. Using imported sensors and weighing modules, this system solves the problem of weighing accuracy in high-speed sorting, automatically measures the weight of individual fruits, and ensures high-precision sorting even at high operating speeds. Four channels operate in parallel, significantly improving processing efficiency and meeting the needs of large-scale grading.

JCSORT rigorously tests every customized fruit and vegetable sorting machine before delivery to ensure it is ready for immediate use upon arrival.

The general testing covers the following aspects: 

  1. Unit performance testing: Calibrating and evaluating the functionality, accuracy, and stability of each independent module.

   2. Integrated system testing: Simulating the complete workflow to verify equipment coordination, timing synchronization, and long-term operational reliability. 

   3. Data validation: Testing with standard samples and actual fruit to confirm that both the visual recognition accuracy and weight sorting precision meet the design specifications.

The successful development and testing of this automated tomato color sorting line not only demonstrates our company's technological expertise in opto-electro-mechanical integration, intelligent recognition, and precise execution, but also addresses industry pain points in post-harvest fruit processing, such as high labor dependence, low standardization, and high loss rates. Through objective and consistent sorting standards, it helps customers achieve standardized grading, premium pricing, and branded sales of tomatoes and other fruits, enhancing product added value and market competitiveness. The equipment also boasts strong adaptability and can be used for various spherical fruits of similar specifications through parameter adjustments. Currently, the production line is in the final stages of preparation before shipment.
