In today's increasingly large-scale blueberry industry, the uniformity of fruit size directly determines its market price and circulation value. Manual grading is not only inefficient and prone to error, but it also easily damages the precious bloom on the blueberry skin, affecting freshness and shelf life. Blueberry belt size grading machines, as targeted automated equipment, have become key equipment in blueberry plantations, processing plants, and packaging workshops due to their core advantages of gentle conveying and precise grading, providing a reliable solution for improving quality and efficiency in post-harvest blueberry processing.
JCSORT Blueberry Size Grading Machine Core Working Principle
The blueberry belt size grading machine uses belt conveyor as its foundation, combined with sieve screening or intelligent detection technology to achieve size grading. The entire process balances efficiency and fruit protection. Its workflow is clear and continuous. First, an automatic feeding system evenly conveys the blueberries to be graded onto a flexible conveyor belt. Some machines are also equipped with a vibrating feeding device to ensure that the blueberries are spread in a single layer, avoiding fruit overlap that could affect grading accuracy.
During the grading process, mainstream equipment mainly employs two core methods: First, sieve belt grading, where the belt has sieve holes of different sizes distributed according to preset specifications. From the input end to the output end, the sieve hole size gradually increases. Blueberries smaller than the sieve hole size automatically fall to the corresponding receiving area, while larger fruits continue to be conveyed by the belt to the next sieve hole area to complete the grading. Second, belt grading combined with optical detection. A high-resolution camera captures images of the blueberries on the belt, AI algorithms quickly calculate the fruit diameter, and then devices such as pneumatic spray valves separate blueberries of different sizes into corresponding channels. Finally, the graded blueberries are conveyed directly to the packaging area via conveyor belt. Some models can directly connect to the packaging boxes, reducing damage caused by secondary handling.
JCSORT Blueberry Separator Key Advantages
**Precise Grading and Strong Fruit Protection:** This equipment can accurately grade common sizes such as 12mm, 15mm, and 18mm. Some customized models can even cover a size range of 13-25mm, with extremely low sorting error. The flexible belt and low-drop design significantly reduce blueberry bruising, effectively retaining the bloom on the skin and ensuring fruit freshness, providing conditions for long-distance transportation and long-term storage.
**Significantly Improved Efficiency and Reduced Costs:** Manual grading requires only one person per hour to process a small number of blueberries, while a single blueberry belt size grading machine can handle the workload of 40-60 workers and can operate continuously for 24 hours. This not only solves the labor shortage problem during the blueberry harvest season but also significantly reduces labor costs, with most machines achieving payback in the same year.
**Wide Adaptability and Easy Operation:** In addition to blueberries, this equipment can also be used for grading small, round fruits and vegetables such as cranberries, cherry tomatoes, and mini potatoes. In terms of operation, most of the equipment is equipped with an intuitive control interface. Some high-end models support one-click switching of grade parameters and remote monitoring, allowing one person to complete the operation and maintenance without the need for professional technicians.
