In the tomato processing industry, sorting requirements vary significantly across different scenarios, from the size uniformity required for fresh tomatoes to the weight standardization requirements for further processed tomatoes (such as tomato sauce and diced tomatoes), to the stringent appearance and quality requirements of the high-end market. Leveraging its deep understanding of the pain points of tomato processing, JCSORT has developed a diverse range of tomato sorting solutions, from single grading to full-process integration. These solutions include eight core components: a tomato size grading machine, a tomato washing and drying size grading machine, and a tomato sorting and packaging line. These solutions can be precisely customized based on customer production capacity, product quality, and workshop layout, providing tomato processing companies with efficient and adaptable sorting solutions.

1. Focusing on Core Needs: JCSORT's Eight Tomato Sorting Solutions Cover the Entire Process

JCSORT's tomato sorting solutions are designed to address practical processing pain points. Addressing the fragile nature of tomatoes and the diverse processing scenarios, they offer a variety of functional combinations to meet the needs of the entire process, from raw material pre-processing to finished product packaging.

For applications requiring only size or weight grading, two basic solutions are available:

The Tomato Size Grader utilizes infrared diameter measurement and an adjustable roller mechanism, allowing for customizable size settings between 50mm and 120mm (e.g., the 60-70mm and 70-80mm ranges commonly used for fresh tomatoes). Its grading accuracy exceeds 99.5%, and its conveyor belts are constructed of food-grade soft material to prevent damage to the tomato skin. This solution meets the basic sorting needs of small and medium-sized fresh tomato processing plants.

The Tomato Weight Grader utilizes a high-precision weight sensor (±2g accuracy) and supports customizable weight settings between 80g and 300g (e.g., the 150-180g standard commonly used for diced tomatoes in deep processing). It automatically sorts tomatoes of varying weights to their designated outlets and rejects unqualified tomatoes, reducing manual sorting costs. This machine is suitable for deep processing plants with high requirements for raw material weight uniformity.

(III) Sorting + Packaging Solution: Seamless Integration Improves Processing Efficiency

Traditional manual handling during sorting and packaging can easily cause secondary damage to tomatoes and inefficiencies. JCSORT has launched three integrated "sorting + packaging" solutions:

The Tomato Sorting and Packaging Line: Selectable size or weight grading modules are designed to meet customer needs and seamlessly integrate with automated packaging equipment (cartoners and bagging machines). Graded tomatoes are transported directly to the packaging stage via a conveyor belt, precisely matching packaging speed with grading efficiency (1,000-3,000 boxes per hour). Custom sizes, such as 200g/box and 500g/box, are supported, meeting the large-scale packaging needs of fresh tomatoes.

The Tomato Weight Sorting and Packaging Line: Focused on weight grading and equipped with a weighing feedback system, the packaging equipment automatically activates when the number of tomatoes in a certain weight range reaches the packaging quantity threshold, achieving simultaneous "weight sorting and quantitative packaging." Oversized or defective tomatoes are automatically rejected, ensuring consistent weight in the finished packaged product and reducing rework costs. Tomato optical sorting and packaging line: Targeting the high-end fresh tomato market, the newly added AI optical inspection module accurately identifies skin spots, cracks, and insect infestations (with an accuracy rate exceeding 99.2%). It also measures color maturity (green, half-ripe, and fully ripe). Combined with size/weight grading, it is directly connected to the packaging process, helping companies select high-end tomatoes with "excellent appearance and uniform ripeness," thereby increasing product premiums.
